Luke Gilbert - Trust Ambassador

Everyone at the Trust was so saddened to hear that our Ambassador Luke Gilbert passed away yesterday.
Luke first came sailing with the Trust in 2010 as part of the pilot for our 18 - 24 year old trip. Luke enjoyed his first trip with us so much that he returned the following year and completed our Volunteer Training Programme in order to volunteer on the trips and help other young people in recovery from Cancer. He became an Ambassador in 2012.ed away peacefully, at home surrounded by those he loved, at this time we would like to send all our love to Julie Dave Laura and Angie and all of Luke’s family and friends.
Salterns Scramble Bank Holiday Fundraising Fun!

This bank holiday Monday 29th August, Salterns Sailing Club of Lymington is holding the Salterns Scramble to raise money for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust!
“Dan returned very happy, positive, enthusiastic, talks about sailing all the time. Daniel is now keep to continue and improve his sailing skills. You are all doing a wonderful job and are giving back joy, confidence and happiness to children who have been through a very touch time. Daniel has expressed he would like to be a spokesperson for the Trust, maybe speaking to children in hospital about his experiences with the Trust, showing them that something good can come from the awful illness they have had, that what they have been through can make them a stronger person.” Mother of Dan, 16
