Inspiring brighter futures goes beyond a one-off experience. Our free Return Trips for under 18s and 18+ years provide the continued support many young people need living through and beyond cancer.
Everyone who comes sailing with the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust can return for further adventures for as long as you need support.
Each year you're eligible, you will be emailed your return trip invite - and get to choose your top three trip choices - in the third week of October.
To help choose your trips, you can check out the information on these webpages and come along to one of our special Q&A Zooms. The dates and information on these is in your invite.
You will then find out in mid-January which trip you are invited to join that summer.
These trips are for young people who are more reliant on a wheelchair day-to-day, need more 1-2-1 support, or are anxious about their mobility. The trips take place on fully accessible canal barges and the team look at who might benefit more from this trip and invite them to take part.
Find out moreWhen you’ve been ill for so long, you’re told everything you can’t do and are held back. On trips you’re given so much opportunity to push your boundaries and remind yourself you’re still capable of doing stuff.
Since finishing her treatment for acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, Libby has been on six Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust adventures. Her first trip, aged 10, was transformational. She found somewhere everyone gets one another and feels they belong.
