Tadiwa's Story

Quote

"It's like I have freedom. You don't see that every day, a boat with other people who get you on it."

I had a brain tumour, which they had to make sure kept shrinking.

I had to keep taking medicine or otherwise I wouldn't be able to do things like walk or stand or anything. If I didn't take that medicine I wouldn't be here today on this trip. I'm quite used to taking it.

I had to miss out on an awful lot of school because of hospital visits. Some of my friends there didn't really understand what I was going through. I used to get bullied, but if you're someone going through something like me, just ignore the people giving you a hard time and focus on someone that really cares about you.

We can't do the same things that other people can do. Just coming to the Isle of Wight has really created a bond. Making my own friends feels good. Having a little breather and stuff like that.

I was excited to come, it's been easy to make friends and I had lots of fun. It's a good time. If you are going on a trip, just have fun and make sure you spread love and be kind to people.
