This race around the Isle of Wight is for over 18s keen on doing some more serious racing. This was the first Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust return trip and is back for 2025.
Be part of one of the world’s biggest sailing races.
Over 1,200 boats and 10,000 sailors take part in this one-day 60-mile race around the Isle of Wight every year, including some famous faces from the world's of sailing, sport and entertainment.
It can be a long day, and is a serious race, which frequently throws up the full range of conditions and sailing challenges. Be prepared for everything!
But there’s a party atmosphere on and off the water with two Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust boats taking part in the 2025 race.

“Very lonely.” That’s how Loz described their experience with cancer. At first, they didn’t mind losing their hair from chemotherapy. It was as time went on they felt apart from others their age, having been put into bottom sets at school and missing classes due to hospital appointments.
