Nominate your 2020 Volunteer of the Year

It may not have been the year we were expecting, but the Trust volunteers still went above and beyond to support young people in recovery from cancer.

So who's been your 2020 Luke Gilbert Volunteer of the Year?

Or maybe it's something completely different altogether! Whoever it is and whatever they have done we want to hear all about it.

The closing date for the 2020 award is Sunday 28 March 2021 and the winner will be announced at the Trust’s annual Volunteer Training Day in the spring. So there is plenty of time to think about who made a difference to you last year or for someone to still do something incredible that warrants you nominating them as your Volunteer of the Year.

How do I nominate?

Go to the Volunteer page on our website here - Volunteer with us - and scroll down to the Volunteer of the Year section. Click on the button, complete the nomination form and that's it!

The Volunteer of the Year Award was introduced in 2017 to celebrate the life of young person and volunteer, Luke Gilbert, who sadly passed away in 2016. Anyone can make a nomination. The only criteria is that a volunteer embodies Luke’s incredible personality, sense of humour and fun, enthusiasm and compassion. An independent panel, including Luke’s mum Julie, judges the nominations.
