PRINCESS ANNE MEETS THE ELLEN MACARTHUR TRUST AT THE UKSA…

ANNUAL UKSA CHARITY BALL HELD IN AID OF THE ELLEN MACARTHUR TRUST…

The Ellen MacArthur Trust had an opportunity to present their activities to her Royal Highness the Princess Royal on Saturday 14th September.

The forecast predicting gales failed to materialise and the day was blessed with beautiful sun all day as the princess spent over two hours on site.

The Princess was there to name the latest arrival to the growing UKSA fleet of yachts; a brand new Sweden 42, and to look at the charitable activities of the organisation.

Princess Anne was most interested to hear about the Trust activities and how we help to make a difference to the lives of children recovering from cancer and leukaemia.

The UKSA has been a very active partner of the Trust to date. The Trust has used their facilities as a base from which to operate, the UKSA provides help and support through their infrastructure, the use of their facilities and by granting a bursary to the Trust helping us to achieve our aims.

The pictures show H.R.H The Princess Royal meeting Trust Manager Martin Noyle and his daughter Freya in the exhibition hall before lunch. Freya has been involved in trips over the last two years with her dad and is fast becoming an invaluable addition to the team.

So here’s one of them together!
