In conjunction with The Little
Gloster Restaurant and Bar’s Christmas Markets this year, on Sunday 27th November there will be a Dare to Brave it Charity Swim and Sunday 11th December a Charity Dog Show both to raise money for
the Trust.
The Dare to Brave it Charity Swim will be held at 2pm on Sunday 27th November, where you can brave the ‘refreshing’ sea off Gurnard Marsh for a 500m sponsored swim. The Marlin Swimming Club and Gurnard Sailing Club will be helping to ensure the event is both safe and enjoyable. " Entry is just £10 per person, and swimmers will be asked to raise as much sponsorship as possible for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. Swimmers will receive a Christmas Hat and a medal as well as something warm to drink at The Little Gloster after the swim.
The Charity Dog show (11th Dec) will be a lighthearted event, classes to include, Dog most like their owner, Best fancy Dress, Best Small Dog, Best Large Dog, Best Puppy. Details still to be confirmed but it should be a great family event and lots of fun, with money raised coming to the Trust. This will be on the same day as a visit from Father Christmas and so perfect for a family day out.
On both days at The Little Gloster there will be a Christmas Market, the perfect antidote to Christmas food shopping in the supermarket. The Little Gloster Christmas Market will be crammed with Christmas goodies just waiting to be bought and eaten, or hidden away for Father Christmas="from cakes and puddings, to turkeys and trees, ensuring you can get your hands on all sorts of fantastic local produce to bring that special something to Christmas.
