The Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust are pleased to confirm that Tanya Brookfield has joined the Trust team as Head of Fundraising & Communications. Tanya brings with her a wealth of marketing and fundraising experience, but is perhaps best known for co-founding the military sailing charity, Toe in the Water, and as the original MD of Alex Thomson Racing. This is a newly created role for the Trust and is part of its ambitious strategic development plan for the next three years.
Chief Executive Frank Fletcher commented "It's great to have Tanya onboard as we enter the next exciting phase for the Trust"
Tanya added “I am thrilled to be joining the Ellen MAcArthur Cancer Trust family. I have seen firsthand how sailing can be used as a mechanism to rebuild confidence and make real difference to the lives of so many young people. I have watched the Trust grow since its inception and can’t think of a better cause to work with now that Toe in the Water has closed it doors having achieved it's mission with injured servicemen and women."
