Stephanie Hubold completes the 500km London Green Cycling Club Cycle and raises money for the Trust!

13th August 15

Stephanie Hubold completed the London Green Cycling Club and raised an amazing £667.50 for the Trust! The 500km charity ride took place on the 30th July - 2nd August. The event consists of amateur cyclists working in the field of environment. All riders nominate a charity that is making a difference to their local area; Stephanie chose to support the Trust and explained that 'knowing the donations will help young people experience the fun of sailing at sea and be reminded there is life beyond their illness was what really kept me going over the big climbs!'

Stephanie was inspired by last year’s Tour de France stages in Yorkshire and London and therefore rode a similar route from York to London and took part in the Prudential Ride London 100. Stephanie described the event as 'a challenging four days but a wonderful experience!'

Stephanie has currently raised a fantastic £667.50 for the Trust, which will pay for one young person to go sailing on a four day trip for their first time. Stephanie is now aiming to reach a target of £780, which will allow one young person to participate in a return to sail as well. Stephanie said 'if you help me to increase the total amount to £780 this would allow another young person to return, meet peers and friends from their sailing trip again, and enjoy one of the residential activity weeks'.
