The intolerable violence, racism and hatred we’ve seen stoked across the UK over the past week must always be condemned in the strongest terms.
The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is committed to building belonging across our community and being a place that is open and inviting to all kinds of people, who feel they can be their authentic self with us.
In the face of these recent attempts to divide and create fear, it is not enough to not be racist, we have to be anti-racist. This is on all of us, everyone involved with the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. It is our shared responsibility to live the values and show the behaviours we want to uphold as an organisation with belonging at its core.
To everyone in our community feeling threatened, scared, victimised and vulnerable by recent events – young people, families, our team and supporters – we are with you. We want you to feel safe, accepted and supported, not only when you are with us, but in your everyday lives. As an organisation we will keep striving to do whatever we can to make both happen.
