Recruitment of a Trustee with Fundraising / Marketing expertise

Recruitment of a Trustee with Fundraising expertise

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is a national charity that rebuilds confidence after cancer, using sailing to support, empower and inspire young people between the ages of 8-24 in embracing their future with optimism.

The Trust is governed by a team of committed Trustees, all of whom give up their time on a voluntary basis. The Trustees meet every three months to cover issues of governance and to formulate Trust policy and strategies for its future operation. Most of our meetings take place in London with one or two a year in other locations in the UK.

Following a skills audit of our current Board of Trustees we are looking to recruit a new Trustee with Fundraising and Marketing expertise. It is envisaged that this person will have extensive experience of fundraising and be knowledgable of the recent changes to Fundraising / Data protection regulation.

The successful applicants will have to undertake a satisfactory DBS check. Reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed.

More information on the roles and responsibilities of a Trustee can be found on the Charity Commission website
