What The World Needs Now Is Love - Thank You Players

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is thrilled to feature in a heart-warming new People’s Postcode Lottery campaign that has been created to thank players for the good they have enabled.

The campaign, which launched on 11 October, features Brit award-winning superstar Ellie Goulding serenading a player with a stunning version of the classic 1960s Burt Bacharach and Hal David track, What The World Needs Now Is Love.

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is one of seven charities to feature in this new campaign to thank players of People’s Postcode Lottery for their incredible support and showcase the amazing difference they are making in our communities.

To date players have raised over £1.4 billion for good causes and charities, with over £4.7m raised for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust since 2013.

The campaign, which also features comedian Tom Allen, will run on billboards, TV and on social and digital media across Britain until the end of October. A 90 second special is also going out on ITV during The Voice final on Saturday 26 October.

The memorable song was originally sung by Jackie DeShannon, becoming a top 10 hit and winning a place in the Grammy Hall of Fame.
