Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust official charity for Cowes Week 2026

Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust announced as Official Charity for Cowes Week’s landmark 200th anniversary

We are excited to be the Official Charity for Cowes Week as part of their bicentenary regatta!

Cowes Week will celebrate its 200th anniversary from 1-7 August 2026, and we will be on site across the week sharing the life-changing impact of our work and joining in the festivities.

The bicentenary promises to celebrate ‘the world-class regatta racing, the vibrant shoreside atmosphere and the unique sense of tradition mixed with innovation that keeps this regatta at the heart of the sailing calendar’.

You will find us in the Parade Regatta Village, where you can learn more about what we do and why it matters. There will also be the chance to come aboard one of our flagship blue boats, with guided tours taking place at Trinity Landing.

Our CEO, Frank Fletcher, said: “At the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, sailing and the outdoors give young people the freedom and sense of possibility they are looking for. They start to believe in themselves again and look forward to what’s next in life.

“Everyone who enjoys Cowes Week understands the power and potential sailing has, and with their support, more young people living through and beyond cancer will feel inspired to believe in a brighter future.”

Bob Trimble, Chairman of Cowes Week Ltd, said: “We are honoured to partner with the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust for our bicentenary year. Cowes Week has always been about community, inspiration, and the joy of being on the water – values that the Trust embodies so powerfully. Their work changes young lives, and we are proud to help shine a spotlight on their remarkable impact during this milestone regatta.”
