She has also served as a Legal Director of Room to Read, an international NGO focused on literacy and girls’ education. She started her legal career in impact roles in India and Turkey.

Ambitious and achievable

Michelle said: “It is inspiring to be working for the benefit of children and young people again.

“I’m so honoured to have been selected as a Trustee of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, and as part of an adventure-loving family that’s been impacted by cancer, I feel completely aligned with its mission.

“Accessing the charity can be a game-changer for young people following cancer treatment. The goals of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust are ambitious, and with the calibre of the team in place, achievable.”

Frank Fletcher, Trust CEO, said: “We are really grateful Michelle has joined us as a Trustee. Her expertise is a huge asset to the charity, and she shares our passion for supporting young people impacted by cancer. We’re glad to have her aboard to help us inspire brighter futures.”

The Board of Trustees, which includes founder and patron Dame Ellen MacArthur, keeps the Trust on track and makes sure the best outcomes for young people are always delivered. You can meet our Trustees and learn about what they do here.
