Quote of the Day: We like to work for half the day, we don’t care if it’s the first twelve hours or the second twelve hours. Half a day keeps us out of trouble!

Well today Sam has been beasting be with more Astronavigation, gosh it’s a lot of work!!! We are still working our 2 hour on 4 hours “Off” watch, off means not sitting on deck but working somewhere else on the boat. The water here is so clear and blue, its beautiful, warm too. The coms systems seem to be working fine, I checked that all our info sent so far has come through with David Green CEO of UKSA, he confirmed it had, so it seems…….. Game On!
We are off at full pelt to the Galapagos Islands, we’ve some serious catching up to do, but as Simon Davies always says ‘it’s not over until the fat lady sings!’
The Ellen MacArthur Trust crew have been back on form today, the boat seem much happier with out Little Green People all over it! The emails for them also came through today that also lifted spirits still further, so thanks for those.
I hope my family Fiona, Jack, Emily and Lucy are all well, they’ve been swimming today, so have I but my pool was 4000 miles wide and 3000 metres deep.
Back to reducing sights now………..

Hello guys! We have just completed day 2 of our quest to Galapagos Islands (the epic coming to a cinema near you!) So far everything has been going ok! Last night was very bumpy and my bunk aka the coffin it’s like sleeping in a sinking submarine – not pleasant so I think ill be re-locating! Night watch is really great apart from getting up at 5 am, the stars are great and I get to see the sun come up every morning-bonus. I’m becoming more comfortable with the swaying of the boat and general life at sea (not easy to make a cup of tea though!) but I still have a strong hate for steering!! (Steady hand anyone?). Today we got to go snorkelling in the Pacific which was amazing (no fish though!) was feeling a bit tired and sun burnt but after a bit of female bonding with the guys I’m feeling grand- myself Pete and Sam are now modelling the latest in bright red nail varnish- sexy as!! Next up leg waxing! So general mood on Gipsy Moth grand and getting better, once we all settle into routine the craic will be flowing as normal! Watch out for night vision camera action!

Hey everyone it’s our second day on our adventure to the Galapagos woohoo we are finally on our way. Today was extremely hot so we had to find a way to cool off and the only way we could see to do that was to go snorkelling in the Pacific Ocean with a depth of 3000 metres below us WOW!!! Not many people can say that. We didn’t see much wildlife apart from Peter when he finally got it Teehee and a few fish. The water was surprisingly warm and really clean. The sun is just setting, it is such an amazing site to see and one I definitely won’t forget. Thanks to everyone that made it able for me to go on this journey of a lifetime.

Huston we have a problem! Somebody forgot to tell these 3 young ladies that for the duration of the passages there is no Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci or beauty salons in fact no shopping! So now I’ve found myself having a manicure and facial to help pass the time on board! So this is a desperate plea to any cruise liner In this vicinity to swing by and help 3 desperate princesses!
As for Pete, he is like an old boat…….A little bit of paint can make even him look beautiful!
