We might not be able to get together for our Boxing Day Dip this year, but join the Trust #TwixmasTribe and wave goodbye to 2020 – your way!
Twixmas is that time between Christmas and New Year, when leftovers are eaten and everything is on sale. The #TwixmasTribe will be making the most of this time by staying active and creative together, apart.
Usually, the 26th
December would see a crowd gather at Gurnard Green to take a plunge in the chilly Solent. As well as a festive atmosphere and an invigorating temperature, it’s normally a chance to raise money and support young people in recovery over the Christmas period.
We are not letting COVID-19 get in the way of all the fun. Still fancy a dip? You and your household can still go for a splash, raising funds on your own and making the kind of memories that last forever. Arm bands and swimming caps at the ready!
But don't be put off by the cold sea as this year you get to choose how you want to make a difference. Set yourself a Twixmas challenge – something you can achieve in those fallow five days – and make it as exhilarating or relaxing as you like.
Why not start a New Year's resolution early, dust off your running shoes, start learning a new skill, or join a Joe Wicks workout. Join the Trust’s JustGiving campaign
, set up your fundraising page, and let the #TwixmasTribe
cheer you on.
Like the Trust’s Virtual Summer
and Round Britain Your Way
, joining the #TwixmasTribe is a way of coming together in spirit if not in person. S whether you’re in hill-walking boots or your toastiest slippers, let’s do what we do best and keep that support coming.
