Jingle your way around Cowes to support young people in recovery from cancer

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is inviting the local community to join them on a ‘Jingle Bell Walk’ in Cowes on Sunday 10th December. All ages and abilities are invited to help the charity raise money for young people aged eight to twenty-four in recovery from cancer, as they rebuild their confidence after treatment through sailing.

You can get into the festive spirit in two ways; join the family friendly festive 3k walk through Cowes and along the sea front, or for those looking for more of a challenge they can ‘Jingle Jog’ their way along the 6k route.

Kindly supported by the local Marks and Spencer’s Cowes store, the Festive fun will start at the store on Terminus Road at 11am on Sunday 10th December, with mulled wine and mince pies to warm you up when you return.

Tickets cost £5 per person (including free bells), and children under five go free (bells not included) but can be bought on the day for a £1 donation.

The money raised from this event will allow more young people in recovery from cancer to re-engage with education and employment through the support of the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. The Trust receives no government funding and does not charge fees, they therefore rely 100% on voluntary funding.
