This summer was one hundreds of young people will never forget. While they were benefitting from our life-changing adventures, our fundraising team and volunteers were at events all across the UK, making sure those young people always have somewhere to turn after treatment. Festivals, regattas, storytelling talks – the team were everywhere!
It has been amazing to meet so many new people this summer while being part of long-standing and historic events. Here are just some of the events we were delighted to be part of in summer 2026.
What a privilege it was to be the Official Charity for North Sails Cowes Week as it celebrated its 200th year. An Isle of Wight institution, Cowes Week brought people from all over the country to the island. Many of them made generous donations, and some even signed their loved ones up for a trip. One of the week’s highlights was the Mast Climb Challenge, which saw fearless fundraisers climb Solent Hero’s 55ft mast! Thank you to everyone who helped us raise an amazing £14,770.
The Largs Regatta has become a standout staple of our calendar these last few years and 2026 was no different. We were lucky to be their charity partner once again, and it was a fantastic weekend of sailing, community, and conversations that raised more than £2,600. Thank you to Hayley and Lorna, who were familiar faces to young people, volunteers and skippers for years, and who led the charge and celebrated with one last hurrah.
FestivalsNew location, same CarFest. What a chance to go to Silverstone, the home of British Motor Racing, as a charity partner at this year’s CarFest. With over 30,000 people attending each day, the team had an unforgettable experience, including our young ambassador Ravi (who even made an appearance on the telly!). Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and have a chat.
30,000 people attended Bestival at Lulworth Castle, and we were thankful to be their charity partner again. Their long-standing support means a tonne, and we are already looking forward to next year.
Ancasta kicked off the summer in style with their Summer Blast, networking with a difference. We were lucky enough to be the chosen charity of our long-standing corporate partners as they swapped the desk for the sea while fundraising at the same time. Thank you to them for raising more than £6,000 and for everything they do.
Thank you to West Highland Yachting Week! We were honoured to be chosen as the charity for a regatta with a difference. This stunning event brought people together from across the UK and raised £796.
It was an incredible PropSail this year, bringing together property professionals for some sailing on the Solent, all while raising more than £7,331 - the most they have ever raised for us at the event!
