Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust excited to be lead charity partner at Camp Bestival 2019

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust has today (Tuesday 18th December) been announced as the lead charity partner for Camp Bestival 2019.

Camp Bestival is magical family festival organised by BBC Radio 1 DJ and Trust Ambassador Rob da Bank. Held annually in July at Lulworth Castle in Dorset. It's a weekend full of music, feast worthy food and exciting experiences suited for everyone, whether you're aged 8 or 80!

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is thrilled to be announced charity partner for Camp Bestival 2019Rob da Bank said: “Being an Ambassador for the Trust is one of my proudest moments each year. Going sailing with some of the bravest and resilient young people on the planet is so humbling and makes everything fall into perspective of what’s really important in life.

"Most importantly the confidence that the young people come away with after a few days on the water, some for the very first time, absolutely helps their recovery and their families too.”

The Heroes vs Superheros theme at Camp Bestival next year is the perfect fit for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust as it will allow us to raise awareness by sharing the heroic stories of the young people we work with, not only that but the volunteers, fundraisers, and supporters of the Trust are all heroes.

Frank Fletcher, CEO at the Trust is thrilled by the announcement and said: "It is brilliant to be part of Camp Bestival  again next year and we can't wait to meet all the 2019 superheroes!

"We love the weekend and are always blown away by the love and support we get from everyone who goes along. Thank you to Rob and the team for inviting us to part of it, we're already on the case with our fancy dress!"
