Have your say to put young people at heart of cancer support

Research aims to understand the long-term impacts of young people’s cancer on wellbeing, quality of life and needs across different populations and at different points beyond diagnosis.

Earlier this year we revealed how, along with leading cancer charities Young Lives vs Cancer, the Children's Cancer and Leukaemia Group (CCLG), and Teenage Cancer Trust, we were working in partnership to build a new evidence base looking at the psychosocial needs of young cancer patients and how the current system supports them.

We’re looking for young people and parents to take part in our cancer care research survey so we can better place your needs at the centre of cancer support. We know everyone’s experience is unique and important. By sharing your story, you can champion and lead the changes you want to see in the world of cancer care.

To complete the survey, you must be over the age of 14, a resident in the UK, and either:

  1. Someone who has received a cancer diagnosis before the age of 25, who has received cancer treatment in the UK at any point within the last 10 years.
  2. A parent/guardian, carer* or sibling of someone who received a cancer diagnosis before the age of 25, who has received cancer treatment in the UK at any point within the last 10 years.

The survey takes 20 minutes and we’re hoping to hear from as many diverse voices as we can so that together, we can meet the needs of young people with cancer more effectively.

One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to diverse support for children and young cancer patients. It’s important all young people with cancer are heard. We want you and your family to tell us what matters to you.

We want to hear from as many people as possible, from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. If you know someone else who fits the criteria, please share this survey with them!
