Festival season is back! The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is thrilled to be a charity partner for CarFest and Camp Bestival again this summer. Pack your wellies and get glittered up, the fun begins next month!
More young people living through and beyond cancer will benefit from the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust’s life-changing sailing and outdoor adventures thanks to the support of CarFest and Camp Bestival this year.
Start your engine! CarFest
CarFest is the UK’s largest family fundraising festival. With legendary music performances, celebrity chef demonstrations, impressive car stunts, amazing activities and celebrity appearances,
CarFest offers something for every member of the family. Founder and patron Dame Ellen MacArthur is set to join the team and our 2024 CarFest Ambassador Grace at the extravaganza at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire, taking place from 23-25 August.
Last year CarFest raised an incredible £110,309.85 for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust, giving so many young people the chance to come sailing for the first time or return for another adventure this summer.
We are just one of seven charity partners supported by CarFest alongside a number of additional local and hugely deserving charities.
Tickets are still available for CarFest and you can get yours at the CarFest website. A guaranteed 10% of every ticket purchased for CarFest goes straight to the partner charities!
Camp Bestival
Camp Bestival combines action-packed adventures with a family festival experience.
Set in the grounds of Lulworth Castle, on Dorset’s dramatic Jurassic coastline, from 25-28 July, Camp Bestival will be jam-packed with entertainment, from music and cultural performances to sideshow attractions and plenty of family fun.
Alongside Frank Water and WaterAid's Good Loos, the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust is excited to have the opportunity again this year to spread the word about the charity.
As one of the Trust's favourite times of year, you'll not want to miss out. Tickets are available to buy on the from Camp Bestival website.
Let the games begin
Get set for an epic showdown! Head over to the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust stand and dive into the ultimate gutter boat race challenge.
Pick your vessel, power it up, and zip around a mini-Isle of Wight. If that's not your speed, dive into the games from Asmodee UK – Dobble, Cobra Paw, Egg Slam, and beyond. Who will be victorious?
Phil Steventon, Fundraising Manager, said: "We love a festival at Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust. We are incredibly grateful for the unerring support we receive from the festival organisers particularly at CarFest and Camp Besitval.
"Their support means that we can tell our story to a huge audience – the more people we meet, the more funds we raise, the more young people we can support to believe in a brighter future.
"So if you are at a festival this summer do come along and say hello and maybe even join us for a game of Dobble!"
