Come see us at Cowes Week!

North Sails Cowes Week is celebrating its landmark 200th anniversary and we are proud to be its Official Charity for 2026.

We will be in amongst the festivities, with a whole host of fun activities taking place across the week (Friday 31 July - Saturday 8 August), all while sharing that special Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust magic.

Ever wondered what life is like aboard one of our iconic blue boats? Come find us on Trinity Landing where you can take part in a public tour of Solent Hero (until Thursday 6 August).

This is a rare chance to step aboard and see how the yacht is specially adapted to open sailing up to young people living through and beyond cancer. And you’ll get to meet some of our awesome skippers and volunteers too!

New fundraising heights

At the start of the week, we will be running a thrilling fundraiser: the Mast Climb Challenge. Friends and supporters are being invited to climb the mast of Solent Hero, and once at the top, will have ten minutes to call friends and family to raise £200. We'll also be keeping a friendly leaderboard throughout the week, so there may be a little healthy competition to see who can raise the most! Come watch fearless fundraisers face the heights - and help them down with donations!

There will be a scavenger hunt across Cowes involving local businesses on the high street. Come collect a card with clues at our stand on the Parade which will lead you to different store fronts. Each will have a letter in the window which you will need to unscramble to succeed. One for the adventurer in you!

And you can come meet the team, find out more about the charity, buy Trust goodies, and play games at our stand in the Race Village on the Parade at 10am - 5:30pm from Friday 31 July until Saturday 8 August. We are looking forward to seeing lots of you there.

What it's all about

It’s hugely exciting to be part of North Sails Cowes Weeks’ historic bicentennial event. We can’t wait for what’s sure to be a memorable week, and at the heart of it for us is a chance to inspire more brighter futures for young people living through and beyond cancer. We hope you’ll be part of it.
