CarFest, presented by bp pulse, has proudly supported the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust since 2019. Founded by radio legend and car enthusiast Chris Evans, the annual family fundraising festival in Hampshire has become one of the UK’s best-known independent summer events.
In 2024, CarFest raised an impressive £1.26 million for children’s charities across the UK, with 7% of this total - £88,200 - benefiting our cause. Funds were generated through onsite fundraising, Sporting Bears Dream Rides, and Chris Evans' exclusive Gig in the Garden headlined by James Blunt, bringing the grand total to over £176,000.
This generosity fuels life-changing support for young people living through and beyond cancer. But the impact goes beyond the funds raised—CarFest helps spread awareness, introducing young people and their families to what we do. It also inspires volunteers to get involved, creating a ripple effect of support that reaches far and wide.
With over 100,000 festivalgoers in attendance, our CarFest Ambassador Grace took to the main stage alongside Dame Ellen MacArthur. Together, they shared how CarFest’s support transforms lives.
Diagnosed at just six years old with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer, Grace endured intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy that turned her carefree childhood into hospital visits and difficult side effects.
Through our support, Grace has been able to reclaim parts of her childhood. She first joined a sailing adventure on the Isle of Wight and then returned to sail on the West Coast of Scotland this summer, just days before stepping onto the main stage at CarFest.
Family ticket prices are frozen at 2024 rates, and with 10% of each ticket supporting UK charities like us, they make a brilliant Christmas gift. Treat the whole family, make a difference and create lasting memories together.
