Policy on Isolating for Young People, Staff and Volunteers

THIS POLICY

Purpose:Advise on isolation procedures if someone (young person, staff member, volunteer) on a trip is suspected of having COVID-19.
To be read by:Operations manager, all team members, Trust Leads and Skippers before any activity and any staff, skipper, Trust lead or volunteer overseeing an isolation.

OVERVIEW

If a someone is suspected or confirmed to have COVID-19 they must be isolated as soon as possible. Know what to look out for. The official COVID symptoms are:

WHAT TO DO IF SOMEONE HAS SYMPTOMS

If the lateral flow test result is NEGATIVE:

If the lateral flow test result is POSITIVE:

Contact the local health protection team*/NHS Track and Trace and follow their advice. If the yacht/site is under the Trust’s direct management, it should be decontaminated following the ‘Deep Cleaning Policy’.
