Cowes based company SpyPrints present a cheque for £300 to the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust
The cheque was presented to the charities patron and founder Ellen MacArthur, along with some of the young people sailing on the Trusts first 18-24 sailing trip of this summer, by Dave Wright, owner of SpyPrints and an Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust volunteer.
SpyPrints, a vinyl graphics, apparel and design company, have been selling unisex hoodies printed with the Trusts logo to raise funds. From every hoodie sold £5.00 is donated to the Trust.
Dave Wright, owner of the company, has been a permanent volunteer for the Trust since he moved to the Island four years ago, helping with everything from fundraising to skippering on the four day sailing trips, “I was looking to give something back and I chose a sailing charity as that’s something I’m interested in, when I heard about the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust I knew it was something I wanted to help with. The work they do is so valuable and it’s gratifying to be a part of it”

TESTIMONIALS
“Jay returned full of confidence, chat, and knowledge of sailing. Jay had ‘life’ back in his eyes. He enjoyed the whole experience. His highlight was the privilege of sailing a yacht with Ellen. He would love to sail again. He even cooked a lasagne on his own for his yachting crew (He never cooks!!) He was full of pride.”

TESTIMONIALS
“I enjoyed meeting new people who had gone through the same thing, because they were all really nice. I didn’t like leaving! I learnt that I LOVE sailing!! And I learnt 2 types of knots. I made loads of friends and learnt how to sail, and now I’m going on another course. I would love to be involved in the future; it was the best week of my life!!!!! Thank you so much for letting me come, I enjoyed it very VERY much!!!”
