Official Charity Events

The Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust has several fundraising sports challenges in 2011 for our supporters to get involved, raise money for the Trust and get fit at the same time!  We will also be at a couple of fantastic music events this summer so if you’re there too, come up and say hello!

If you are intending to take part in one of our events below, or would like to hold your own fundraising event for the Trust, it makes sense to SHOUT ABOUT IT!!  We want to help you raise money so please let us know what you are up to.  We can help you promote your event to encourage more support, and send you posters, newsletters, collection tins or sponsorship forms to aid your fundraising efforts.  We can help you set up a VirginMoneyGiving fundraising page online, an easy way for sponsors to donate, and can let your local community know what you are doing by contacting your local media.

You can compete in the IOW Cycle Challenge, West Wight Triathlon or the Bupa Great South Run, or join us climbing the stairs in the BT Tower, all of which are achievable with a bit of training and preparation! We just ask that you raise a minimum of £150 for your chosen event and cover your own entry fee. You will then be part of the Trust team for that event and be supplied with an appropriate Trust branded sporting top.

Please ring the office or email (JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) for more information or to register your interest in any of the fundraising events below.

TESTIMONIALS

“Jay returned full of confidence, chat, and knowledge of sailing. Jay had ‘life’ back in his eyes. He enjoyed the whole experience. His highlight was the privilege of sailing a yacht with Ellen. He would love to sail again. He even cooked a lasagne on his own for his yachting crew (He never cooks!!) He was full of pride.”

- Mother of Jay, 16
